Liliana Gomez De Coss M.P.A. (she/her) is originally from Chiapas, Mexico, and immigrated to the United States in 2003. She currently serves as the University of Kentucky (UK) Associate Director of Leadership and Service in the office of Student Organizations and Activities. Before her work at UK, she served as the director of the Office of Multicultural Student Affairs.

Ms. Gomez De Coss earned her Master of Public Administration from Eastern Kentucky University in May 2017 and earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance and Marketing from the University of Kentucky in 2011. She received the Staff Diversity Award for her work in diversity and inclusion in the Fall of 2017 and the Staff Vagina Warrior Award for her advocacy in women’s equality in the Spring of 2018. In addition, she is one of the few Latino Soccer Referees in the area. She has been an USSF Referee for 12 years.

In her previous role as the Associate Director of Latino Retention and Outreach she helped with initiatives of recruitment and retention to encourage Latino Student Success. Her work in recruitment yielded the largest incoming Latino Class to the university in the past years. In addition, her role in retention yielded the past the highest retention for Latino students amongst other groups. She continues to serve as the Latino Student Association Advisor, Staff Mentor for The Freshman Academy and co-director of EKU Camino to Success Camp.

Create a DEI Student Advisory Group

Liliana currently serves as the lead for the DEI Student Advisory Group. This committee gives students the opportunity to contribute as the university develops a diversity and equity plan that reflects students’ needs.
