Myrin Roberts

Director of Total Quality Improvement

Myrin Roberts (he/him) earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a minor in Computer Information Systems from Cumberland College in Williamsburg, KY. 

Myrin worked in the private sector for 14 years before moving on to Higher Education. He worked for Hughes Aircraft in Production Management, Integrated Product Teaming and Program Management. Additionally, he worked for Honeywell, Inc. in Production Management and Supervision.  While there, Myrin earned his Six Sigma Blackbelt and Greenbelt Certifications. Lastly, he worked at Emerson Power Transmissions in Production Management and received his training and certification in Lean Manufacturing.  Since then, Myrin has worked in Higher Education as Housing Manager in Auxiliary Services for 13 years before moving on to the Director of Total Quality Improvement in Finance & Administration in 2018.

Myrin was born and raised in Paris, KY and is the youngest of 3 kids. He and his family still reside there today. He has been married 27 years to Angela Roberts, who is one of the grant writers for Fayette County Public Schools. Myrin has two wonderful kids, Brionna and Aidan; Brionna is a second-semester senior at the University of Kentucky double majoring in Business Management and Merchandising, Apparel and Textiles. Myrin's son Aidan, a junior at Paris High School, is a varsity athlete in basketball and golf.

In his off time, Myrin's hobbies include playing golf, working out and spending quality time with his family. He also has a passion for thoroughbred racing and loves attending the races at Keeneland Racecourse.  As a previous college basketball player, Myrin still has a love for watching and playing basketball in his spare time. He is very involved with his church (Bedford Acres Christian) and has participated in numerous plays and events. Myrin also serves on the church security team.

In addition to his career at the University of Kentucky, Myrin has dedicated his time to the DEI Workgroup and contributes valuable insight in this role.
