CELT Announces 2021-22 Teaching Innovation Institute Faculty Cohort

CELT is pleased to announce the second cohort of the Teaching Innovation Institute. During the 2021-22 academic year, these teacher-scholars will learn with and from each other as we look to the futures of teaching and learning at UK and for higher education as a whole.

M. Cristina Alcalde, who has served as the University of Kentucky College of Arts & Sciences’ Associate Dean of Inclusion and Internationalization, has announced she will be leaving UK on June 30 to become the Vice President for Institutional Diversity and Inclusion at Miami University of Ohio.

Safety, Mental Health Awareness in Rural Kentucky

In Kentucky, 112 out of 120 counties are considered medically underserved. This program is an opportunity to change things for the better, as youth participants will also receive question, persuade and refer (QPR) training to help them identify when someone might be going through personal struggles and available community resources.
