Purpose

This initiative will establish a group of faculty from diverse backgrounds and areas that will meet regularly to help guide institutional diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) efforts related to faculty. The group will review recommendations that come to the DEI Workgroup and Leadership Team, and will advise the Workgroup of the impact the recommendations may have on faculty. 

Progress

With the expectation that the work of improving diversity, equity and inclusion at the University of Kentucky will continue, the project team charged with creating a Faculty Advisory Group has developed a proposal for the composition and charge of a DEI Faculty Advisory Group and initial membership nominations.

 

Update - September 21, 2021

The committee has submitted membership recommendations for the faculty advisory group. Leadership will review the recommendations and form the advisory group. 

Update - May 6, 2022

The final nominations of diverse faculty have been submitted for confirmation. The DEI co-facilitators will begin to reach out to the nominated faculty members and confirm their membership once reviewed.
