Investment in Faculty and TA Professional Development

This committee will make recommendations related to professional development and critical pedagogical praxis for the teaching community in topics such as, but not limited to, cultural proficiency, inclusive and equitable teaching, and how to engage in constructive discussions around racism and other forms of discrimination in the classroom.

Employee Recruitment and Retention

This initiative focuses on identifying and recommending strategies to increase employee recruitment and retention for both faculty and staff. The scope of the charge included changing, moving, or expanding diversity and inclusivity funds and programs to create a more equitable, effective workforce.

Create a DEI Faculty Advisory Group

Project 3 will establish a group of faculty from diverse backgrounds and areas that will review recommendations made by other initiatives within the DEI Implementation Plan around the university related to diversity and equity.
